Amara Chair

The Amara Chair is a solid wood dining side chair with a tall upholstered back and a quietly tailored look. The back is a full upholstered panel held between two straight wood posts, and the upholstered seat sits on a squared wood frame with straight legs and stretchers. The silhouette is clean and slightly formal, with the wood frame outlining the upholstery like a picture frame.

Shown in deep green upholstery on a warm wood finish, the Amara suits hotel restaurants, private dining rooms, steakhouses and club dining where comfort and a refined, classic profile matter. Choose from fine leathers, faux leathers and fabrics, or specify COM, and pair the upholstery with a range of American and European hardwood finishes.

Built for commercial use

The Amara is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so the frame stays tight under heavy restaurant use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beech with walnut stain, ash with light or dark walnut stain, American white oak and American walnut.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed and richly colored hides.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, greens and blues.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad selection of fabrics, tweeds and performance textiles, many rated 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM: customer's own material is accepted, and we will provide the required yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
