Carrera Chair

The Carrera Chair is a modern classic: a cantilevered arm chair formed from a continuous flat bar of polished stainless steel, with an upholstered seat and back floating inside the frame. The bar sweeps from the floor up into the arms in one unbroken line, then folds back down into the base, which gives the chair a gentle, springy sit and a silhouette that looks good from every angle. A brass frame is also available for a warmer, more glamorous look.

Shown in dark leather with polished steel, it brings a crisp, tailored feel to a dining room, conference room or lounge. The 19.5" x 17" seat and 26.25" arm height make it comfortable for long dinners and meetings, and it pairs well with stone, glass and polished table tops. Built for commercial use

The Carrera's steel frame is welded rather than bolted. The chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty, plus a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Frame: polished stainless steel or brass.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from classic onyx, ivory and chestnut to rich cognac, espresso and distressed finishes like whiskey and bourbon.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in neutrals, browns, greens and blues, including pebbled and glazed textures.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad selection of commercial fabrics and tweeds in solid and heathered colors, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM/COL: customer's own material is accepted.

For commercial seating, we recommend specifying upholstery rated at 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
