Chicago Chair with Square Stitching and Ottoman

The Chicago Chair with Square Stitching and Ottoman is a high-back lounge set with a tailored, mid-century presence. The chair's tall, gently reclined back and deep seat are upholstered in a grid of square stitched panels, shown in black leather, which gives the surface a quilted, button-free tufted look. A slim frame carries the cushions on angled legs and a straight, open arm, and the matching ottoman repeats the square stitching on a low, rectangular cushion.

The frame is polished stainless steel, with a brass frame available for a warmer look. Together the pair makes a reading-corner or lobby vignette that feels both clubby and modern. It belongs to our Alpine Lodge and Steakhouse Collections, and the stitched leather pairs well with dark woods, stone and warm lighting.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded rather than bolted. The piece is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty, plus a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Frame: polished stainless steel, or brass.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from classic onyx, ivory and chestnut to rich cognac, espresso and distressed finishes like whiskey and bourbon.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in neutrals, browns, greens and blues, including pebbled and glazed textures.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad selection of commercial fabrics and tweeds in solid and heathered colors, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM/COL: customer's own material is accepted (minimums may apply).

For commercial seating, we recommend specifying upholstery rated at 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
