The Cockpit Chair is an upholstered dining arm chair with a deep, enveloping tub shape. The fully upholstered shell wraps the back and arms in one smooth curve, so guests feel tucked in and supported, and it sits on four splayed solid wood legs in a natural tone. Shown in a deep blue fabric, it has a soft, contemporary look with a nod to mid-century design.
With a 26.5" width and a cozy, enclosed feel, the Cockpit is made for lingering, whether at a steakhouse table, a hotel restaurant or a lounge. It belongs to our Steakhouse and Alpine Lodge Collections and pairs well with warm wood tables, plush banquettes and layered lighting.
The solid wood frame is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service and breaks in with the patina of heirloom furniture. The Cockpit is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty, plus a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.
At 26.5" wide, plan about 28" per seat at the table, and confirm the 26" arms clear the table apron. Our restaurant seating layout guide covers spacing and aisle widths.
Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, or ashwood with light or dark walnut stain.
