Folio Lounge Chair

The Folio Lounge Chair is a sculptural, mid-century inspired lounge piece with real presence. A solid wood frame sets low and wide, with tapered legs and open sides, and holds a broad, winged upholstered back that curves around the sitter like a shield. Separate padded arm rests float on the frame, and the deep, generous seat sits at a relaxed 14.5" height.

At 39" wide, the Folio is built for lingering: a statement chair for hotel lobbies, library lounges, private clubs and the quiet corner of a restaurant bar. It looks especially rich in leather against a dark wood finish, but it can be specified in faux leather, fabric or COM, and paired with a side table or a second Folio to anchor a conversation group.

Built for commercial use

Like almost all of our wood products, the Folio is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs, tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, ashwood with light walnut stain, ashwood with dark walnut stain, American white oak and American walnut.

Upholstery: Leather Option A (a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers), Faux Leather Option B (standard and deluxe faux leathers), Fabric Option A (commercial fabrics, tweeds and textures in many colors), or COM (minimums apply). Send us your COM selection and we will give you the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
