Grafton Chair with Upholstered Seat Pad

The Grafton Chair with Upholstered Seat Pad adds a cushioned seat to our classic mid-century wire chair. The seat and back are formed from a fine grid of welded steel wire that curves up into a softly rounded back, and a fitted upholstered pad sits on the seat for extra comfort. The slim rod base keeps the stance light and open, so the chair stays visually airy even in a full room.

The seat pad brings in color and texture and makes the Grafton more comfortable for longer meals. Choose polished stainless steel, powder coated steel or brass for the frame, and coordinate with the plain wire Grafton Chair, the fully padded version or the Grafton stools for bar seating.

Built for commercial use

The frame is welded, not bolted, for a rigid, durable chair. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Frame: polished stainless steel, powder coated steel or brass.

Upholstery: Leather Option A (a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers), Faux Leather Option B (standard and deluxe faux leathers), Fabric Option A (commercial fabrics, tweeds and textures in many colors), or COM (minimums may apply). Send us your COM selection and we will give you the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
