Grafton Chair with Upholstered Seat Pad and Seat Back

The Grafton Chair with Upholstered Seat Pad and Seat Back is the most comfortable version of our classic wire chair. A welded steel wire grid forms the curved seat and back, and fitted upholstered pads cover both, adding a bold block of color or texture inside the fine metal outline. The slim rod base keeps the overall form light and graceful.

With both seat and back padded, this Grafton suits full-service dining rooms, hotel restaurants and lounges where guests sit for a while. The frame is available in polished stainless steel, powder coated steel or brass, and the chair coordinates with the rest of the Grafton family, including matching stools.

Built for commercial use

The frame is welded, not bolted, for a rigid, durable chair. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Frame: polished stainless steel, powder coated steel or brass.

Upholstery: Leather Option A (a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers), Faux Leather Option B (standard and deluxe faux leathers), Fabric Option A (commercial fabrics, tweeds and textures in many colors), or COM (minimums apply). Send us your COM selection and we will give you the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
