Isabella Chair

The Isabella Chair is a solid wood side chair with a distinctive library-chair profile: each side is formed by crossed, X-shaped legs, topped by a wide, flat back rail and a woven cane seat. The result is a chair with a handcrafted, mid-century feel that looks equally good from the side as from the front.

The natural cane seat adds texture and a little give, and pairs beautifully with oiled teak, natural ash, oak or walnut frames. At 18.75" wide with an 18.25" seat height, it fits comfortably at standard dining tables. It brings warmth to restaurants, cafes, hotel restaurants, wine bars and resort dining rooms, and pairs naturally with the Isabella Stool for bars and counters and the Isabella Chair with Upholstered Seat where a cushioned seat is preferred.

Built for commercial use

Wood should not be used outdoors, so plan the Isabella for indoor and covered spaces. The solid wood frame is joined with mortise-and-tenon construction and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.

Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, natural ash, antiqued ash, medium brown stained ash, chestnut brown ash, brushed antique cherry ash, European beech and American walnut.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
