Isabella Chair with Upholstered Seat

The Isabella Chair with Upholstered Seat keeps everything that makes the Isabella distinctive, the crossed X-shaped side legs and wide, flat back rail of a classic library chair, and adds a fully upholstered seat cushion for extra comfort through longer meals. The tailored cushion sits neatly inside the solid wood frame, giving the chair a crisp, finished look.

It is a smart choice when you love the handcrafted, mid-century character of the cane-seat Isabella but want a seat that is softer and easier to color-match to your banquettes and booths. Specify the frame in teak, ash, oak, beech or walnut and the seat in fabric, faux leather, leather or COM. At 18.75" wide with an 18.75" seat height, it works at standard dining tables in restaurants, hotel restaurants, clubs and wine bars, and pairs with the cane-seat Isabella Chair and the Isabella Stool.

Built for commercial use

The solid wood frame is joined with mortise-and-tenon construction and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, natural ash, antiqued ash, medium brown stained ash, chestnut brown ash, brushed antique cherry ash, European beech and American walnut.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): soft velvets in eight colors plus Fighter and Medley performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a broad palette of standard and deluxe faux leathers, including vintage, pebbled and saddle-toned finishes.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

COM/COL: customer's own material or leather is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage.
