James Chair

The James Chair is a classic, hard-working restaurant side chair with a European beech frame, a solid wood back panel and an upholstered seat. The back is a single broad panel set between squared rear posts, and the tapered legs are joined by side stretchers, giving the chair a tidy, traditional profile that never looks out of place.

Finished in a dark walnut stain with a seat in faux leather or COM, it brings warmth to steakhouses, bistros, hotel restaurants and banquet rooms. At 18" wide it fits efficiently around four-tops and along banquettes, and the 18" x 16.75" seat is comfortable for long dinners. The James is stocked in our quick ship program and can ship within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide, which makes it a dependable choice for openings, refreshes and replacement orders.

Built for commercial use

The solid wood frame is joined with mortise-and-tenon construction and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option E): available in dark walnut stain only on the European beech frame.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option C): the Classic, Jackson and Glaze faux leather series, covering neutrals, earth tones, brights and deep jewel colors.

COM/COL: customer's own material or leather is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage.
