The Jane Chair is a sculpted, mid-century inspired side chair with a tall, softly curved upholstered shell that wraps from seat to back in one continuous form. Button details punctuate the back, and the shell sits on four splayed, tapered solid wood legs, giving the chair a relaxed, lounge-like presence at the dining table.
Inside, a steel frame and injection-molded foam cushion keep the shape crisp and supportive through years of service. The generous 19" x 15.5" seat and high back make it a comfortable choice for long dinners, and the shell is a great canvas for color, from leather and faux leather to fabric or COM. It is part of our Steakhouse and Lobby & Lounge Collections and coordinates with the Jane Stool. The Jane appears at North Italia in Santa Monica, shown in the project photos on this page.
The Jane pairs a steel frame with solid wood legs and injection foam that holds its shape under heavy use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.
Plan on about 24" per seat at dining tables and leave clear aisles behind chair backs for servers. Our restaurant seating layout guide walks through spacing and table counts.
