The Lancaster Chair is a straightforward, industrial-modern dining chair: a slim, square-tube steel frame with straight legs and stretchers, carrying a solid wood seat and a solid wood back panel. The contrast of dark powder coated steel and warm, natural wood grain gives it an honest, workshop look that fits right into brewpubs, cafes and contemporary restaurants.
The flat, rectangular back panel and squared seat keep the lines clean and simple, and the solid wood surfaces wear in with use. Choose from a wide range of powder coat colors and wood finishes to dial the look from rugged to refined, and pair it with the coordinating Lancaster Stool at the bar or counter.
The Lancaster Chair has a welded steel frame, not bolted, with a solid wood seat and back. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish warranty, from shipment.
Its compact footprint fits tight dining rooms; plan on about 24" per seat at tables. Our restaurant seating layout guide covers spacing and aisles.
Metal (Metal Finish Option A): a broad range of powder coat colors from our Color Finish Series in matte or gloss, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass. Custom powder coat colors are also available.
Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, medium brown stained ash, European beech, ash in chestnut brown, ash in brushed antique cherry, natural ash, antiqued ash and American walnut.
