Marin Lounge Chair

The Marin Lounge Chair is a mid-century lounge chair with an open, sculpted solid wood frame. Shaped wood arms curve forward from the back posts and rest on tapered legs, and the upholstered back and seat cushions sit within the frame as if floating, leaving the joinery and grain on full display. Low and relaxed, it brings a warm, Scandinavian-inspired character to a lobby or lounge.

A 15.5" seat height and 29" width make it a comfortable, low-slung chair for conversation areas, reading corners and bar lounges. Build it in American walnut, white oak, ash or beech, and upholster it in fine leather, faux leather or fabric.

Built for commercial use

The solid wood frame is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. The Marin is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, American white oak and American walnut, plus black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with a light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from onyx, ivory and chestnut to cognac, espresso and hunter green, plus a distressed series in tones like whiskey, bourbon and rust.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a large library of commercial fabrics and tweeds, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs, in grays, browns, blues, greens, reds and golds.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, greens and blues, including vintage, pebbled and glazed finishes.

For commercial use we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
