Maya Chair

The Maya Chair is a European beech dining chair with a classic cross back and an upholstered seat. Two crossed slats form a bold X between the top rail and the seat, a farmhouse-inspired motif that looks equally good in a rustic trattoria or a crisp, modern bistro. Straight legs and a full set of stretchers give it a solid, dependable stance.

The beech frame takes a choice of nine stains, from natural and maple to mahogany and ebony, and the seat is upholstered in faux leather or COM. A dark frame with a cognac seat, as shown, feels warm and traditional, while lighter stains read fresh and casual. It is in stock in our quick ship program, and it coordinates with the Maya Stool for bars and high-tops.

Built for commercial use

The Maya is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood stain (Wood Option E): walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option C): the Classic, Jackson and Glaze faux leather lines, offering more than a hundred colors.

For commercial upholstery we recommend specifying 75,000–100,000 double rubs; see our upholstery double rubs guide. COM and COL are accepted (minimums may apply), and we will give you the yardage.

This item is in stock in our quick ship program and ships within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
