Miller Chair Upholstered

The Miller Chair Upholstered keeps the familiar mid-century school chair profile and adds comfort with a padded seat and back. The slim powder-coated steel frame, with its tapered and outward-flared rear legs, carries a curved upholstered back and a cushioned seat, so the chair feels softer and quieter in the room while keeping its clean, architectural lines.

Upholstery opens up a lot of design range. A dark faux leather on a black frame reads sleek and modern, a velvet adds warmth to a lounge or private dining room, and a performance fabric holds up to busy service. It sits comfortably alongside the wood-seat Miller Chair and the rest of the Miller family, including matching bar and counter stools.

Built for commercial use

The frame is welded steel, not bolted, for long-term strength. The chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory. The frame carries a 3-year structural warranty, and the finish and upholstery are covered for 1 year from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish A): our Color Finish Series in matte or gloss colors, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper, antique brass and matte red rust. Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a range of standard and deluxe faux leathers in neutrals, browns, blues and greens, including vintage and pebbled textures.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in sand, rust, starlight blue, teal, fern green, royalty blue, black and goldenrod, plus Fighter (130,000 double rubs) and Medley (100,000 double rubs) performance fabrics.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
