Nells Chair

The Nells Chair is a lean, mid-century-inspired dining chair that pairs a slim tubular steel frame with molded wood veneer. The curved veneer back is supported by a single steel spine and rear legs, and the contoured veneer seat sits on four straight steel legs. It is a light, graphic design that feels at home in modern cafes and casual restaurants.

The contrast between powder-coated steel and natural wood is the key to its character: a black frame with oak veneer is crisp and timeless, while a colored frame adds a playful, retro note. With a wide 19" seat, it is comfortable for everyday dining, and its slim profile keeps busy rooms feeling open.

Built for commercial use

The Nells frame is welded steel, not bolted, for lasting strength. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and it ships fully assembled from the factory. The frame carries a 3-year structural warranty, and the finish is covered for 1 year from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish A): our Color Finish Series in matte or gloss colors, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper, antique brass and matte red rust. Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Wood veneer (Wood Option C): white oak, walnut, red oak, oak, black oak, antiqued willow, antiqued rubber and antiqued maple.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
