Tanner Stool

The Tanner Stool is a simple, elegant backless stool that pairs a slim welded steel frame with a round seat of solid wood and woven cane. Four thin, slightly splayed legs rise to the seat, and a circular foot ring wraps the legs partway down, giving guests a comfortable place to rest their feet. The natural texture of the cane, framed in wood, softens the black metal and gives the stool a relaxed, crafted character.

Its small round footprint makes the Tanner easy to fit along bars, counters and window ledges, and it slides neatly under an overhang when not in use. It is a good match for cafes, wine bars and casual restaurants that want natural materials and a light, uncluttered look, and the wood can be specified in a range of species and stains to suit the room.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted, so it stays tight and quiet with daily use. The Tanner Stool is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
