The Edward Chair with Wood Seat is the all-wood version of our classic ladder-back dining chair. Four horizontal slats span the straight rear posts for an open, traditional back, and a shaped wood seat sits on square legs tied together with stretchers. With no upholstery to maintain, it is an easy-care, hard-working chair for busy dining rooms where tables turn quickly.

The frame is solid European beech, a dense, strong hardwood that takes stain evenly. The Edward Chair with Wood Seat is part of our quick ship program, so it can ship fast for openings and replacements, and it coordinates with the upholstered Edward Chair and the Edward Bar Stool when you want the same look at the bar and in the dining room.

Built for commercial use

Like almost all of our wood seating, it is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. The chair ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood: solid European beech. Ask your sales rep for the stains currently available on this model. The coordinating Edward models are offered in our Wood Option E stains, including walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony.

This item is in stock in our quick ship program and ships within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
