Russell Chair

The Russell Chair is a steel wire side chair made for outdoor dining. Its seat and tall back are formed from a grid of slender steel rods that curve up from the seat into a gently flared backrest, so the chair looks almost drawn in line, light and airy from every angle.

The open wire construction lets air and rain pass straight through, which keeps it comfortable on hot patios and quick to dry after a storm. Because it is offered in our Metal Option A palette or a custom powder coat color, the Russell can disappear into a garden setting in a muted green or charcoal, or become the pop of color on a rooftop in yellow, red or aqua. It pairs naturally with metal or stone-topped patio tables.

Built for commercial use

The Russell's steel frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It is built for outdoor use, and the open grid sheds water quickly. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): Our full powder coat palette, including the Color Finish Series (from soft grays and blues to bright reds, yellows, greens and aqua), the Metal Finish Series (matte gunmetal, brushed galvanized) and Premium Finishes such as dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass. Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
