Carlisle Lounge Chair and Ottoman

The Carlisle Lounge Chair and Ottoman is a mid-century inspired lounge set with a sculpted, winged back that curls around the sitter like a shell. The fully upholstered seat and back float above splayed, tapered solid wood legs, and the matching ottoman repeats the same legs and soft upholstered top.

The Carlisle's curved wings give a sense of enclosure that makes it ideal for reading nooks, fireside corners and quiet lobby seating, and its 15.5" seat height invites guests to lean back and put their feet up. Finish the frame in walnut, white oak, ash or beech and upholster in leather, faux leather, fabric or your own material; a bold plaid or tweed shows off the shape especially well. It belongs to our Steakhouse and Alpine Lodge collections.

Built for commercial use

The Carlisle is built on a solid wood frame with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year warranty on finish and upholstery from shipment. Each lounge chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, ashwood with light or dark walnut stain, American white oak and American walnut.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed finishes.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a large selection of commercial fabrics and tweeds.

COM: customer's own material is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will give you the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
