Curtis Chair with Upholstered Seat

The Curtis Chair with Upholstered Seat is a solid European beech side chair with a distinctive shaped back panel and a cushioned seat. The broad back has a softly curved, cut-out top edge, and the frame is braced with stretchers between the legs, a traditional build that gives the chair a sturdy, honest look.

Shown in a deep ebony-toned finish with a cream upholstered seat, the Curtis feels at home in a classic bistro, steak house or hotel restaurant, and its stain options let it shift from light and natural to dark and formal. The beech frame is made to break in gracefully and develop the patina of heirloom furniture. It is in stock in our quick ship program and coordinates with the Curtis Bar Stool.

Built for commercial use

The solid beech frame is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, the construction that keeps a dining chair tight through years of daily use. The Curtis is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood stain (Wood Option E): walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony on European beech.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option C): an extensive range from the Classic, Jackson and Glaze lines, covering whites and creams, tans and browns, grays, blues, greens, reds and deep jewel tones. COM is accepted; minimums may apply.

For commercial seating we recommend upholstery rated at 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage for your fabric or leather. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

This item is in stock in our quick ship program and ships within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks.
