Factory Stool

The Factory Stool is a compact backless stool with a steel frame and a round upholstered seat. Slender steel legs angle out from beneath the seat for a stable, slightly splayed stance, and a low brace ties them together and doubles as a footrest. The thick, cushioned round seat softens the industrial frame and gives guests a comfortable perch.

Offered in both bar and counter heights, the Factory Stool tucks neatly under a bar or counter ledge, which makes it useful where space is tight and sightlines matter, such as cocktail bars, coffee bars, rooftop lounges and retail cafes. It appears in our Steakhouse Collection and Coastal and Rooftop Collection. Choose from eight powder coat colors and a deep range of leathers, faux leathers and fabrics. Built for commercial use

The Factory Stool's steel frame is welded, not bolted, and it ships fully assembled from the factory. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. Coverage includes a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish B): matte white, matte warm gray, matte silver gray, matte orange, matte dark gray (sand finish), matte black, dark gray and army green.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed finishes.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): a wide range of standard and deluxe faux leathers.

Fabric (Fabric Option A and Fabric Option B): standard and performance fabrics including tweeds, velvets and fabrics rated up to 130,000 double rubs.

For commercial use, specify fabrics rated at 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and Designform will provide the yardage. See our upholstery double rubs guide.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
