The Martin Stool brings the decorative back of our Martin Chair up to bar height. It is built on a European beech frame, with four inward-curving arcs between the rear posts that meet to frame a diamond-shaped opening. Tall straight legs are tied together with stretchers at two levels, including a front footrest for guests settling in at the bar.
Choose a solid wood seat for an easy-clean, traditional look, or an upholstered seat in faux leather or COM for more comfort through a long evening. The beech takes a choice of stains, from natural and maple to mahogany and ebony, so it can match existing millwork. It coordinates with the Martin Chair for a consistent look from the dining room to the bar.
The Martin Stool is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and on the upholstered version the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.
With a 30" seat height, the Martin Stool is sized for 40"–42" bar tops. Allow about 24" per stool; our bar stool spacing guide and bar vs counter stool height guide have the details.
Wood stain (Wood Option E): walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony.
Faux leather (Faux Leather Option C): the Classic, Jackson and Glaze faux leather lines, offering more than a hundred colors.
For commercial upholstery we recommend specifying 75,000–100,000 double rubs; see our upholstery double rubs guide. COM and COL are accepted, and we will give you the yardage.
Model codes: MARW-BS (wood seat), MARU-BS (upholstered seat)
