Meyer Chair

The Meyer Chair is a solid wood dining chair with an upholstered seat and seat back and a crisp mid-century profile. Its rear legs angle upward and back to carry a curved, upholstered back band that wraps around the sitter, while the front legs taper slightly and are tied in with slim side stretchers. The open space between seat and back keeps it light and sculptural from every angle.

At just under 30" tall, the Meyer sits low enough to keep sightlines open across a dining room, and its curved back offers genuine support through a long meal. Built from the best-quality hardwoods, leathers, faux leathers and fabrics, it is made to break in over time and develop the patina of heirloom furniture. It coordinates with the Meyer Stool for counters and bars.

Built for commercial use

The Meyer is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed finishes.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, blues, greens and warm tones.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a large selection of commercial fabrics and tweeds, many rated 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
