Nash Chair

The Nash Chair is a clean, Scandinavian-inspired solid wood dining chair with honest, architectural lines. Straight square legs rise into a wide horizontal back panel, a contoured wood seat is set into the frame, and a low H-stretcher ties the legs together for strength. Every element is simple, which lets the grain and finish of the wood carry the design.

In white oak or ash it feels bright, modern and easygoing; in walnut or black painted ash it becomes moodier and more formal. The Nash is the foundation of a large family that includes upholstered seat, upholstered back and full back versions plus matching bar and counter stools, so one design language can run from the dining room to the bar.

Built for commercial use

The Nash uses mortise-and-tenon joinery with very few bolted connections, like almost all of our wood chairs. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and it ships fully assembled from the factory. The frame carries a 3-year structural warranty, and the finish is covered for 1 year from shipment.

Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash and European beech, plus black painted ash (open pore), beech with walnut stain, and ash with light or dark walnut stain.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
