Ronin Wood Base Chair

The Ronin Wood Base Chair sets the channel-stitched Ronin shell on four solid wood legs for a warmer, more residential feel. Wide horizontal channels run across the upholstered back, the shell curves gently around the sitter, and tapered wood legs angle slightly outward beneath the seat for a light, Scandinavian stance.

Shown in a soft ivory upholstery over natural oak-toned legs, the Ronin Wood Base Chair suits restaurants, hotel dining rooms and lounges that want comfort with a natural touch. Choose from American and European hardwoods and stains, and upholster it in leather, faux leather, fabric or your own material. It belongs to the same family as the metal-base Ronin Chair and the Ronin Stool.

Built for commercial use

The Ronin Wood Base Chair has a solid wood base built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed and richly colored hides.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): a wide range of standard and deluxe faux leathers in neutrals, browns, blues, greens and glazed finishes.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad selection of commercial fabrics, tweeds and performance weaves, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM: customer's own material is accepted (minimums apply).

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
