Sling Chair

The Sling Chair is a minimalist side chair with a clever, tailored construction. Its seat and back are separate panels slung across a thin powder coated steel frame, the back wrapping over the frame's uprights like a folded sleeve, while four slim round legs angle out for a light, almost floating stance.

The panels come either upholstered or in wood veneer, which makes the Sling equally at home in a modern bistro, a hotel restaurant or a corporate cafe. It stacks for storage, and it coordinates with the Sling Stool and the Sling Lounge Chair, so one clean look can run from dining room to bar to lounge.

Built for commercial use

The Sling's steel frame is welded rather than bolted, like all of our metal seating. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The chair stacks for compact storage between events. Ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood veneer seat and back: black base with walnut, black base with black ash, black base with natural ash, or white base with natural ash.

Upholstered seat and back: black base with lead grey fabric, pewter grey fabric, black faux leather, chestnut faux leather, black leather or chestnut leather.

Lead times and ordering

This item is in stock in our quick ship program and ships within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
