Stringer Stool – 400 Series

The Stringer Stool - 400 Series is a clean, utilitarian aluminum stool with a classic slatted back: four vertical slats rise from the seat between two tall rear posts, capped by a gently curved top rail. The flat seat sits on four straight, slightly splayed legs tied together with a perimeter foot rest, giving the stool the crisp, familiar profile of a timeless metal bar stool.

Built with an aluminum frame and meant for outdoor use, it is a practical choice for pool bars, patio counters and rooftop rails as well as indoor bars that want a light, bright metal look. It is offered at both bar and counter height, and it coordinates with the Stringer Swivel Stool-400 Series when part of a space calls for a swivel seat.

Built for commercial use

The Stringer is a welded aluminum frame rather than a bolted one, so it stays tight and quiet through years of daily use. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. Like all of our seating, it ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment. Its aluminum frame is meant for outdoor use on patios, pool decks and terraces.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
