Stringer Aluminum Chair – 400 Series

The Stringer Aluminum Chair - 400 Series is a slat-back aluminum side chair with a slightly taller back and a more compact depth than the 300 Series. Round tubular legs rise into back posts that frame a curved back with vertical slats, and a sculpted seat sits on a ring of stretchers. The look is classic and military-inspired, clean enough for modern spaces and familiar enough for traditional ones.

The aluminum frame is light for staff to move and can be used outdoors as well as indoors, so the 400 Series works on patios and rooftops as easily as in dining rooms. Choose a powder coat color from our Color Finish Series, shown in white in the photo, or a brushed anodized clear finish for a natural metal look. Built for commercial use

The aluminum frame is welded rather than bolted, tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. Aluminum is lightweight and can be used outdoors as well as indoors. It ships fully assembled and is backed by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Color Finish Series: powder coat colors in matte or gloss, including black, white, charcoal, red, orange, yellow, midnight blue, light blue, aqua, mint, green and olive green, plus shades like warm gray, shadow blue, peacock, seafoam, steel blue, bay green and brick red.

Brushed Anodized: a brushed, clear anodized aluminum finish for a bright, natural metal look.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
