Arthur Lounge Chair

The Arthur Lounge Chair is a tall, slim high-back lounge chair with an exposed solid wood frame. An upholstered back rises to 41" with a softly rounded headrest section, and a deep cushioned seat sits between open wooden arms that curve gently forward. Angled wood legs and side rails give the chair a light, mid-century stance.

At just 24" wide, the Arthur delivers high-back comfort in a narrow footprint, which makes it a strong choice for hotel rooms, reading corners, libraries and lounges where space is tight. Pair walnut with a textured fabric for a warm, residential feel, or choose leather for a more tailored look.

Built for commercial use

The frame is solid wood with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, American white oak and American walnut, plus black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed premium hides in rich browns, greens and reds.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a wide range of commercial fabrics, including tweeds and performance weaves, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

For commercial use, specify upholstery rated 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs; our upholstery double rubs guide explains why. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
