Positano Chair

The Positano Chair is a rounded outdoor dining arm chair from our Al Fresco line. A powder-coated cast aluminum frame forms a softly curved, tub-like back that wraps into low arms, and the back is filled with outdoor woven rope in an open crisscross pattern. Four slim, slightly splayed aluminum legs keep the profile light, and an optional upholstered seat cushion adds comfort.

The rope is available in white, black, grey or taupe, and the frame comes in a range of textured and smooth powder coats, so you can pair a dark frame with a light rope or keep everything tonal. The Positano's enclosing shape makes it feel cozy and relaxed at the table, which is why it works so well on terraces, rooftops and resort dining patios.

Built for commercial use

The Positano's metal frame is welded rather than bolted for lasting rigidity outdoors. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. As part of the Al Fresco line, it is UV-resistant for year-round outdoor use. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option D): powder-coated finishes in textured and smooth options, including white, black, taupe gray, anthracite bronze, mink brown, brown caramel, medium gray and black satin.

Woven rope: white, black, grey or taupe.

Fabric (Fabric Option C): outdoor-grade cushion fabrics, including Sunbrella colors and a selection of Aphrodite and Cartenza fabrics. Optional quick dry foam is available for cushions that will see rain and pool splash.

For commercial use we recommend upholstery rated at 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage for your material. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
