Abe Stool with Upholstered Seat

The Abe Stool with Upholstered Seat brings the bistro ladder back of our Abe Chair up to bar height. Its solid European beech frame features a curved top rail over horizontal slats, straight legs and a full ring of stretchers that doubles as a footrest. A padded upholstered seat makes it comfortable for lingering at the bar or a high-top table.

It is a simple, friendly stool that suits pubs, breweries, cafes and casual restaurants, and it pairs directly with the Abe Chairs for a consistent look throughout a space. Choose a stain from natural and maple to walnut and ebony, and upholster in vinyl or COM. A wood-seat version is also available. The stool is part of our quick ship program.

Built for commercial use

The Abe Stool uses mortise-and-tenon joinery with very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each stool comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood stain (Wood Stain Option E): walnut, tobacco, select cherry, rustic oak, natural, maple, mahogany, light cherry and ebony. Various stain options are available unless otherwise noted.

Vinyl (Vinyl Option C): a wide palette of commercial vinyls and faux leathers.

For commercial use we recommend upholstery rated at 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage for your selection. Read more in our upholstery double rubs guide.
