Anson Arm Chair

The Anson Arm Chair takes its character from the base: solid wood legs set in an angled, compass-like A-frame on each side, joined by a crossing stretcher and topped with flat wooden arms. Upholstered pads on the arms, a squared upholstered back and a cushioned seat sit within that frame, creating a chair that feels both architectural and comfortable. It has the confident, handmade look of mid-century modernist design.

At 24.5" wide with a 26.5" arm height, the Anson is a true dining arm chair, sized for restaurant tables, hotel dining rooms and private dining. In walnut with black leather it reads rich and tailored; in teak or natural oak with a textured fabric it becomes warmer and more casual. Built for commercial use

The frame is solid wood with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option A): teak (unfinished or oiled), oak, ash in natural, medium brown, chestnut brown, brushed antique cherry and antiqued finishes, European beech and American walnut.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): soft velvets in colors from sand and rust to teal and goldenrod, plus performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): standard and deluxe faux leathers, including vintage and pebbled textures in browns, greens, blues and blacks.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

For commercial use, specify upholstery rated 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs; our upholstery double rubs guide explains why. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
