Ariano Chair

The Ariano Chair is a low-back wood dining arm chair with a strong, simple outline. A single curved rail wraps around the back of the seat at arm height and ends in short, rounded arms, carried by the rear legs as they rise above the seat. Four splayed solid wood legs and an upholstered seat complete a chair with a crafted, almost sculptural presence.

Because the back sits low, the Ariano keeps sightlines open across a dining room and tucks neatly under the table edge. Shown in a deep walnut tone with a dark upholstered seat, it brings warmth to steakhouses, wine bars and hotel restaurants, and it is part of our Steakhouse Collection.

Built for commercial use

The frame is solid wood with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, American white oak and American walnut, plus black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed premium hides in rich browns, greens and reds.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): a broad palette of standard and deluxe faux leathers, from soft neutrals and grays to glazed blues and deep greens.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a wide range of commercial fabrics, including tweeds and performance weaves, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

For commercial use, specify upholstery rated 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs; our upholstery double rubs guide explains why. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
