Charlotte Stool

The Charlotte Stool takes the light, modern look of the Charlotte Chair to bar height. A curved wood veneer back panel floats on two slim uprights above a cushioned upholstered seat, and four thin steel legs splay slightly down to the floor, tied together by a footrest rail. Shown with a dark frame, a walnut-tone veneer back and a golden yellow seat, it has a cheerful mid-century character.

The low, curved back gives real support without blocking sight lines across the bar, and the 17" x 16.5" seat is comfortable for a long evening. The Charlotte Stool is stackable, coordinates with the Charlotte Chair, and is part of our Alpine Lodge Collection, so a dining room and bar can share one design language.

Built for commercial use

The Charlotte's steel frame is welded rather than bolted. The stool is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled. The stool stacks for storage and cleaning. Ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It carries a 3-year frame structural warranty, plus a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Frame (Metal Finish A): a wide range of powder-coat colors from our Color Finish Series, metal finishes such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and premium finishes including antique brass, brushed copper, dark bronze and rust patina.

Seat back veneer (Wood Option C): white oak, walnut, red oak, oak, black oak, antiqued willow, antiqued rubber or antiqued maple veneer.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): standard and deluxe faux leathers in warm browns, blacks, blues, greens, teals and vintage finishes.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in sand, rust, teal, fern green, starlight blue, royalty blue, black and goldenrod, plus performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM/COL: accepted (minimums apply).

For commercial seating, we recommend specifying upholstery rated at 75,000 to 100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted, and we will provide the yardage. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample stools are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
