The Floyd Arm Chair with Upholstered Seat and Seat Back is the most comfortable version of the Floyd family. A slim tubular steel frame forms the legs, rounded arms and back supports, and both the seat and the back are fully upholstered, so guests get cushioning wherever they lean. The result keeps Floyd's simple, schoolhouse-inspired outline but feels softer and more finished.

With padding front and back, this Floyd is well suited to longer stays in hotel restaurants, meeting rooms, campus dining and casual restaurants. Pairing a light frame color with a bold upholstery, or a dark frame with a neutral, makes it easy to set the tone of a room. It stacks for storage, which is handy in banquet and multipurpose spaces, and it coordinates with the rest of the Floyd chairs.

Built for commercial use

The Floyd's steel frame is welded, not bolted, and the chair ships fully assembled from the factory. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The chair stacks for compact storage. Ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. Coverage includes a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Finish B): matte white, matte warm gray, matte silver gray, matte orange, matte dark gray (sand finish), matte black, dark gray and army green.

Wood (Wood Option D): American ash, black painted ash, American white oak and American walnut.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed finishes.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): a wide range of standard and deluxe faux leathers.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad range of standard and performance fabrics, including tweeds and textured weaves rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
