Griffith Lounge Chair

The Griffith Lounge Chair is a mid-century lounge seat with an honest, open wood frame and generous upholstered cushions. Angled legs and flat, extended arms form a light, architectural cradle around a deep seat cushion and a tall, squared back, so the chair looks substantial without feeling bulky. It is the kind of piece that settles naturally into a lobby corner or beside a fireplace.

The solid wood frame is offered in American walnut, white oak, ash or beech, with leather, fabric or COM upholstery. Light oak with a soft woven fabric gives it a Scandinavian calm, while walnut and leather push it toward a classic club-room feel.

Built for commercial use

The Griffith frame is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash and European beech, plus walnut-stained beech, light and dark walnut-stained ash and black painted open-pore ash.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed premium hides in deep browns, greens and reds.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a broad selection of commercial fabrics and tweeds, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM/COL: customer's own material is welcome, and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
