The Machinist Stool with Wood Seat draws on the classic shop stool. A round solid wood seat sits atop a central threaded column, and four curved steel legs sweep down and outward from it, linked by a ring footrest near the floor. The look is honest and industrial, with the warmth of natural wood balancing the dark steel frame.
Its seat height adjusts within a range, from 23.5" to 31" on the counter version and 27.5" to 35" on the bar version, which makes it flexible for counters, bars and work-style tables. The compact 13.5" seat keeps the footprint small, so it fits well along a tight bar or at a chef's counter. Finish the frame in standard or premium powder coats and choose from a range of wood species for the seat.
The steel frame is welded rather than bolted for a sturdy stool in busy rooms. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment.
