Malone Upholstered Chair

The Malone Upholstered Chair is a stackable steel side chair with a fully upholstered seat and back. The back curves gently around the sitter, with a slim steel top rail that bends down to form the rear legs, and four straight, slender legs give the chair a lean, modern stance. The result is a comfortable, softly shaped chair that still looks crisp in a busy dining room.

With an 18.5" width and a 16.75" x 16.5" seat, the Malone fits well in efficient layouts, and because it stacks it is easy to store or reset for events and banquets. Choose from a broad range of powder coat finishes and upholster it in faux leather, leather or performance fabric.

Built for commercial use

The steel frame is welded, not bolted. The Malone is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It stacks; ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): a broad powder coat palette from our Color Finish Series in matte or gloss, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): standard and deluxe faux leathers in warm browns, grays, blacks and accent colors such as gypsy teal, Egyptian blue and Tuscany yellow, including vintage and pebbled finishes.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in rich colors plus Fighter and Medley performance fabrics rated 100,000–130,000 double rubs.

For commercial use we recommend specifying upholstery rated 75,000–100,000 double rubs. COM and COL are accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage. Our upholstery double rubs guide explains the ratings.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
