The Mezzo Chair with Wood Seat sets a warm solid wood seat and spindle back on a slim metal sled base. Slender vertical spindles rise to a curved top rail that wraps gently around the sitter, a modern, pared-back take on the classic Windsor chair. The continuous sled base below keeps the chair visually light and slides easily on hard floors.
With an all-wood seat, the Mezzo is quick to wipe down between seatings, which makes it a natural fit for busy cafes, bakeries and casual restaurants. The base comes in black, white or brushed brass, and the wood in a wide range of species and stains, so you can go light and Scandinavian or darker and more refined. It coordinates with the Mezzo Chair with Upholstered Seat and the Mezzo Stool.
The Mezzo combines a solid wood seat and back with a welded metal base. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish warranty from shipment.
Plan about 24" per seat at dining tables. Our restaurant seating layout guide covers table sizes and aisle clearances.
Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, and ashwood with light or dark walnut stain.
Metal base: black, white or brushed brass.
Model code: MEZZ-SC
