The Taylor Chair is a mid-century inspired side chair with a solid wood frame and an upholstered seat and back. A rectangular padded backrest floats between two slim rear posts above a cushioned seat, and the frame's slender legs angle gently outward for a light, confident stance. Simple and tailored, it lets the upholstery color and wood finish set the mood.
The Taylor works with everything from bold fabrics to rich leathers, making it a flexible choice for steakhouses, coastal restaurants and hotel dining rooms. It is shown in the project photos on this page at The Hard Shell in Richmond, VA. For bar and counter seating, it coordinates with the Taylor Stool.
The Taylor's solid wood frame is built with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs, tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and is covered by a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.
Plan about 24" per seat at dining tables. Our restaurant seating layout guide and wood restaurant chairs guide offer more planning tips.
