Nash Chair with Upholstered Seat

The Nash Chair with Upholstered Seat keeps everything people like about the Nash, its square legs, wide horizontal back panel and low H-stretcher, and adds a padded upholstered seat for extra comfort. The cushion sits neatly within the solid wood frame, so the chair keeps its crisp, Scandinavian-inspired outline.

The seat is a chance to add color or texture: a green fabric on light oak brings a fresh, mid-century note, while black leather on walnut feels tailored and quiet. It mixes easily with the all-wood Nash and the other upholstered versions in the family, and pairs with Nash bar and counter stools.

Built for commercial use

The Nash uses mortise-and-tenon joinery with very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory. The frame carries a 3-year structural warranty, and finish and upholstery are covered for 1 year from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nail-on nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): American walnut, American white oak, North American ash and European beech, plus black painted ash (open pore), beech with walnut stain, and ash with light or dark walnut stain.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from classic blacks, browns and grays to rich cognacs, greens and blues, including distressed premium hides.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, blues, greens and warm accent colors.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a wide range of contract fabrics and tweeds, including Fighter (130,000 double rubs) and Medley (100,000 double rubs) performance fabrics and other options rated 72,000–80,000 double rubs.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request.
