Oliver Chair

The Oliver Chair is a slim, mid-century-inspired dining chair with a graphic, tailored profile. A rectangular upholstered back pad floats on two slender steel posts above a padded seat, and the thin steel frame is braced by an H-stretcher and side rails. The open space between seat and back keeps the chair visually light, even in long rows.

Shown with a warm metallic frame and green upholstery, the Oliver can be finished in a wide range of powder coats, metallic premium finishes or a custom color, and upholstered in velvet, performance fabric, faux leather, leather or COM. That flexibility makes it easy to dial up a retro cocktail-lounge mood or keep it clean and contemporary. It coordinates with the Oliver Stool for bar and counter seating.

Built for commercial use

The Oliver's steel frame is welded, not bolted, for long-term rigidity. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled and carries our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment. Each chair comes standard with heavy-duty nylon glides, suitable for most commercial floor types, including hardwood, tile, stone, concrete and carpet.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A or custom powder coat): a wide range of Color Finish Series powder coats, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, rust patina, brushed copper and antique brass. Custom powder coat colors are also available.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets plus Fighter and Medley performance fabrics rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): standard and deluxe faux leathers, including vintage, pebbled and solid tones.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

COM is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
