Paletta Chair

The Paletta Chair is a compact, enveloping dining arm chair with a rounded tub silhouette. Its upholstered seat and back curve continuously around the sitter, forming low, integrated arms that offer support without bulk. The upholstered shell sits within a solid wood frame on four tapered legs, and an optional stretcher can be added for extra bracing or a more traditional look.

At 29" tall with a 26.5" arm height, the Paletta keeps sight lines open across the room while still feeling cozy and substantial, and its arms clear most table aprons. Choose from a range of solid woods and stains and upholster in leather, faux leather, fabric or COM to suit a polished steakhouse, a hotel restaurant or an intimate wine bar.

Built for commercial use

The solid wood frame uses mortise-and-tenon joinery with very few bolted connections, so it stays tight through years of service and develops the patina of heirloom furniture over time. The Paletta is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled and carries our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, ashwood with light walnut stain, ashwood with dark walnut stain, American white oak and American walnut.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, including distressed and richly colored hides.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): a broad selection of standard and deluxe faux leathers, including vintage, glazed and pebbled finishes.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a wide range of commercial fabrics and tweeds, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM is accepted (minimums apply), and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
