Platform Chair

The Platform Chair is a crisp, contemporary stacking side chair built on a slim powder-coated steel frame. A broad, gently curved back panel in ash sits above the seat on thin steel uprights, and the four straight legs give the chair a light, graphic outline. Choose an all-wood seat and back, or pair the wood back with an upholstered seat for extra comfort.

The mix of black or terracotta steel with natural or black ash keeps the Platform versatile, equally at home in a Scandinavian-leaning cafe or a modern hotel restaurant. Because it stacks, it is a practical choice for venues that reconfigure rooms or need to clear floors for events. A matching Platform Stool carries the look to the bar and counter.

Built for commercial use

The Platform's steel frame is welded, not bolted, for a rigid chair in daily service. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and on upholstered versions the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. The chair stacks for storage. Ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Lead times and ordering

This item is in stock in our quick ship program and ships within 2–3 days of order and payment, nationwide. Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
