Sutton Chair

The Sutton Chair is a fully upholstered arm chair with a soft, rounded back that wraps forward into short, curved arms. The padded shell and cushioned seat appear to float on a slim steel frame: thin, dark legs rise to cradle the seat and arms, giving the chair a light, refined footprint despite its generous comfort.

The contrast between the plush upholstered body and the fine-lined metal base makes the Sutton equally at home in a steakhouse dining room, a hotel restaurant or a private dining space. Choose fabric for warmth, or leather and faux leather for an easy-to-maintain, polished look. It shares its form with the Sutton Stool for bar and counter areas.

Built for commercial use

The Sutton's steel frame is welded, not bolted, so it stays rigid through constant daily use. It is tested to 400 lbs, tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Metal (Metal Option A): Color Finish Series powder coats in a wide palette, Metal Finish Series options such as matte gunmetal and brushed galvanized, and Premium Finishes including dark bronze, antique brass, brushed copper, rust patina and matte red rust.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option A): a broad range of standard and deluxe faux leathers, from vintage and pebbled finishes to classic solids.

Leather (Leather Option B): pebbled black, copper, pebbled lead, pebbled battleship, ash grey and vintage umber brown.

Fabric (Fabric Option B): velvets in rich colors plus durable Fighter and Medley textiles rated 100,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM: Customer's own material is accepted (minimums apply), and we will provide the yardage.

Lead times and ordering

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
