The Bow Chair with Cord Seat pairs our sculptural Bow arm chair frame with a hand-woven natural cord seat. A single curved top rail sweeps around the back and forward into the arms, supported by a Y-shaped center splat and tapered rear legs that rise to meet it. The open frame and woven seat give the chair a light, crafted character that feels relaxed and refined at once.
The natural cord brings texture and a warm, organic tone that works beautifully against walnut, oak or ash finishes. It is a natural choice for wine bars, coastal restaurants and bright hotel dining rooms. For an upholstered version, see the Bow Chair.
The Bow is built from solid wood with mortise-and-tenon joinery and very few bolted connections. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards. It ships fully assembled from the factory with a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish warranty from shipment, and it is made to break in over time and develop the patina of heirloom furniture.
As an arm chair, the Bow is best planned at about 26" per seat at tables. Our restaurant seating layout guide covers spacing and aisle widths.
Wood (Wood Option B): North American ash, European beech, black painted ash (open pore), beechwood with walnut stain, ashwood with light or dark walnut stain, American white oak and American walnut.
Seat (Cord Option A): natural woven cord.
