The Smith Stacking Arm Chair with Upholstered Seat translates the Smith look into a slim welded steel frame that stacks. Thin round tubes form the legs and loop up into graceful arms, a curved wood veneer back panel sits between the uprights, and a padded upholstered seat rests on a solid wood base. In brushed brass, as shown, it has a light, jewelry-like quality; in black it reads crisp and graphic.
It gives you the comfort and presence of an arm chair with the flexibility of a stacking chair, which makes it a smart pick for hotel restaurants, banquet rooms and private dining spaces that change setups often. It coordinates with the Smith Stacking Side Chair with Upholstered Seat and the wood-framed Smith chairs and stools.
The Smith Stacking Arm Chair is built on a welded steel frame rather than a bolted one. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and its foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It stacks for compact storage between services and events. Ganging hardware may be available depending on the chair. We do not stock stacking carts, but they can be custom made on request. It ships fully assembled and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.
For arm chairs, allow about 26–28" per seat and confirm the 28" arm height clears your table apron. See our restaurant seating layout guide.
