Barber Chair with Metal Base

The Barber Chair with Metal Base is a mid-century-inspired dining chair with a sculpted upholstered shell set on slim polished stainless steel legs. The seat and back flow together into one rounded form, with an open cutout between them that lightens the silhouette and gives the chair its signature look.

The back curves around the sitter like a small executive chair, so it is supportive and comfortable through a long dinner, yet the thin metal legs keep it visually light. Upholster it in a rich leather for a steakhouse or a textured fabric for a hotel lounge. It coordinates with the Barber Chair with Wood Base and the Barber Stool versions.

Built for commercial use

The Barber Chair's metal base is welded, not bolted. The chair is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, and the foam and upholstery meet CAL TB 117-2013. It ships fully assembled from the factory and carries a 3-year frame structural warranty and a 1-year finish and upholstery warranty from shipment.

Finishes and upholstery

Base: polished stainless steel.

Leather (Leather Option A): a wide range of standard, deluxe and premium leathers, from classic neutrals to distressed and saturated tones.

Faux leather (Faux Leather Option B): standard and deluxe faux leathers in a broad palette of neutrals, browns, greens and blues.

Fabric (Fabric Option A): a large selection of commercial fabrics and tweeds, many rated from 72,000 to 130,000 double rubs.

COM/COL: customer's own material or leather is accepted (minimums may apply), and we will provide the yardage.

Standard production is 14–20 weeks, and most orders can be rushed to 8–10 weeks. Minimum order is typically 4 pieces, and smaller orders are considered on request. Sample chairs are available for sit tests through our sample loan program.
