The Grafton Chair is a classic mid-century wire chair, with a seat and back formed from a fine grid of welded steel wire. The mesh shell curves up from the seat into a softly rounded back, and it rests on a slim rod base that splays slightly to the floor. The open, see-through form keeps the chair visually light, so it never crowds a room, even in long rows.
The Grafton is offered in polished stainless steel, powder coated steel or brass, from bright and gallery-like to warm and glamorous. It works as a stand-alone design statement or as part of a coordinated family, with matching upholstered versions and Grafton stools for bar and counter seating.
The frame is welded, not bolted, for a rigid, durable chair. It is tested to 400 lbs and tested internally to meet ANSI/BIFMA standards, ships fully assembled from the factory, and is backed by our 3-year frame structural warranty and 1-year finish warranty from shipment.
Plan about 24" per seat at the table. Our restaurant seating layout guide covers aisle widths and table spacing.
